Centaurus Financial, Inc. was founded by CEO Ron King in 1992 as a training and educational broker/dealer to help Financial Advisers in the financial planning and insurance industries. The company became an independent, full-service broker/dealer in 1995. In addition to providing service, support, technology, and education to independent Financial Advisers, the company has a long tradition and commitment to philanthropy.

Over the years, Centaurus Financial has been committed to a number of causes. It is a major supporter of Shamrock Rescue Foundation, which rescues and provides home for dogs in need. An annual golf tournament raises tens of thousands of dollars for the nonprofit. Of note, Centaurus’ Mechanicsville, Virginia, branch held separate tournaments in 2018 and 2019 that raised over $20,000 for Shamrock.

Helping animals in need isn’t Centaurus Financial’s only philanthropic endeavor. In 2018 and 2019, the company was a presenting sponsor at the St. Joseph Hospital Celebration, which raises tens of thousands of dollars annually for patient care and support at the Orange County, California, hospital. And Centaurus also recently donated $5,000 to help Honor Flight Southland fly World War II veterans to visit the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C.
